We built our house during CoVid and Cam and his team made us feel assured that we were in good hands and we were with a well managed business. The Jackson Dwellings team were fantastic to deal with from start to finish. They were accommodating every step of the way, nothing we wanted or changes we asked for ever felt like an inconvenience. We were always treated like we were the only build they had going on and their tradesmen and attention to detail have left us with an amazing house.

We chose JD as our builder in 2022 after speaking with a number of builders across the Macedon Ranges and Melbourne. At the time, many builders were difficult to get hold of, with some not responding to our initial enquiries until much later (2024 - yeah I know!), or not at all.This was our first build, and we had very little understanding of what was involved. From the outset, the JD team took the time to explain the process to us in great detail and made us feel comfortable with each stage of the journey. Trust me, we had a lot of questions (in hindsight too many) which they addressed in a professional manner.The standout qualities for us were their transparency, custom design approach, local knowledge of the area and landscape (as we built on a slope), use of mostly local quality trades and ease of communication. While these qualities can sometimes be promised during the initial engagement stage, what stood out to us was that JD maintained this standard throughout the entire build process.We were kept regularly updated on the progress of our build through photos, social media updates, text messages and phone calls. Despite the building constraints at the time, our home was completed within the agreed time frames.The post-build support has also been excellent. Although we did not need much follow up, the team proactively arranged for a few items (all minor) to be rectified because they felt those details were not up to their own standard.Now, four years on, the house continues to settle very well and we have had no issues with the kinds of problems you often hear about, such as leaking showers or roofs, poor workmanship or mould.If your objective is to build a quality home with a builder who genuinely cares about the process and the end result, JD is definitely a Team worth considering.Cheers,Alex & Lauren

I really don't do reviews but we are so pleased with how our new home turned out I thought I would make an exception, the quality of the build the experience of the builder including all employees from Cam and Emma to the build supervisors Matt, Mark and James made the build a dream. Veronica is just Fab, Laura was great at the start but went off to start her family and we missed her but Veronica picked up were Laura left off and we were really spoilt with the communications. We even thought their subbies were great plumbers, brickies, sparkies, painters, tilers cabinet maker, there were no rough edges just smooth professionalism and skill. We made some changes the JD team suggested some improvements and assisted all the way with selections so we could not be happier with our new home that works so well.

Jackson Dwellings were amazing to build with. Super professional, the quality of the work was spot on, and they were easy to deal with the whole way through. Would 100% recommend them and wouldn’t hesitate to build with them again.

Jackson Dwellings built our home around 2 years ago (so this review has been a long time coming!), and we couldn’t be happier. All the way from the design process, to selections, through to the build itself the team at JD were friendly, professional, and great communicators. The were always open to ideas and happy to accommodate us wanting to use a vintage kitchen island in the build. Two years after handover it is clear our home was built by highly skilled people who care, and we would happily recommend JD to anyone wanting a high quality home.
